Yorkshire Sculpture Park

In the midst of the Christmas-New Year haze, I could feel the cabin fever coming on, so to keep it at bay we headed off on a road trip up to Leeds. On the way we stopped off at Yorkshire Sculpture Park, which I'd been wanting to visit for ages and with it being so close to the motorway, I didn't have an excuse not to go. The snow had been coming down heavily on route and when we arrived the park was completely white. We hadn't bargained on there being so much snow, nevertheless, we managed a lovely stroll around the main grounds and I was able to capture some shots of the unique sculptures that inhabit the park. Most of the open-air art works pictured below are from Tony Cragg's 'A Rare Category of Objects', which is a brilliant display of material manipulation. I'd definitely recommend a trip to the park and will hopefully head back to explore it more fully in the Summer.
